My hair has been thinning in the last decade or so.

I really don’t know how much has been due to age, genetics, stress, or any combination of the above, but my hair has definitely been thinning.  When I was approached about this review, I was cautiously excited.  I have been curious about trying some of these supplements.

Volumizing hair is not the same thing as replacing lost hair.

I am aware that volumizing hair means that the hair I possess should become thicker.  The hair that was lost before that will likely stay lost.  However, I have also heard murmurs through the “interwebs” that some people have experienced some regrowth.  So again, I approached this with a healthy dose of cautious hope.

My Opinion

Honestly, in the pictures above, I don’t see much change.  However, I did notice a clear change in the amount of hair I normally shed.  I comb my fingers through my hair throughout the day.  Normally, I notice quite a few hairs falling out each time I do that.  Lately, I have noticed very few if any hairs coming out when I do that.

I would certainly call “not losing as much hair” a win for me!

My husband has also noticed less hair in the drain, and I have found that I don’t need to clean out my brush as often.  This is pretty huge for me.

The Keratin Hair Volumizer pills were giant and uncomfortable to take although worth it.  On the other hand…

The Biotin Bursts were unbelievably delicious!!

No really!  They were so good that my 14-year-old son ate 14 of them over a weekend thinking they were candy.  Really!  I had to buy another box to complete the review.  If you’re concerned about my son, we have been reassured by a pharmacist that he will be fine…and likely have really nice skin and hair.

They are Brazilian açai berry  flavored.  The sweet berry flavor and chewiness feels like a treat rather than a supplement, but they are only 20 calories each.  I didn’t forget to take them… not once… at all.  I was tempted to take more than one, but I didn’t.

The box indicates that you should keep them out of reach of children.  I believe they should add a few more warnings.

If I could find a candy in this flavor, it would be at my house all the time.  As a matter of fact, people of Neocell, please consider creating a candy in this flavor so my son and I can eat all we want.

Final Thoughts

The combination of Biotin Bursts and Keratin Hair Volumizer did work to significantly slow down my hair shedding.  I am losing much less hair than I was before.

Would I recommend these to friends and family?

Absolutely yes!  Not only did I find them to be effective for me, but there is always a chance that they could be even more effective for you.  Totally try it, but remember my warnings above if you have self-control issues.
