Tropical Leprechaun Cocktail #Recipe

I named this delicious adult beverage the Tropical Leprechaun Cocktail in honor of St. Patrick’s Day coming up soon, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy this deliciously sweet mixed drink year round. The Tropical Leprechaun Cocktail has melon, orange, pineapple, and lemon lime flavors combining for a citrus topical vacation in a glass. The lovely green color is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Christmas party cocktails, or anytime you’re wanting a sweet imbibement.

In a blender, I just tossed in my ice cubes. I poured the pineapple juice, Midori, Blue Curacao syrup, and Sprite over the ice. I blended the entire thing until it was a slush-like consistency. I mean, it just couldn’t get any easier. Once blended, just pour it into your favorite cocktail glass. I recommend either a martini glass or daiquiri glass, but the cute chocolate shot glasses below would be so much fun for a party. This recipe makes 3 drinks or 2 drinks with some to top off each of them.

If you’ve never tried Midori before, it is a melon flavored liqueur made in Japan. It has a lovely green color. It is delicious by itself, but I noticed that combining it with pineapple juice was popular. The pineapple juice with the Midori was a less than impressive color so I decided to try adding Blue Curacao mainly for the color boost, but the orange flavored syrup brought so much more than color to this fabulous drink. A splash of Sprite (or your favorite lemon lime soda) gave an extra citrus boost, and the ice made it all a nice slushy fun drink. My husband’s favorite kind.
