Healed & Whole

The woman with an issue of blood was healed, and we can use her example to receive from God.

Luke 8: 43-48

And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,  Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.  And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?  And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.  And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.  And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

This woman with the issue of blood did not just decide on her own that touching Jesus’s garment would heal her.

Malachi 4: 2

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

This Messianic prophecy was a promise to her. She recognized that the “Sun of righteousness” was the Messiah, and she believed that Jesus was the Messiah. Therefore, Jesus must have healing in His wings. The wings of the Messiah refers to His tallit or prayer shawl… more specifically the tassels or tzit-tzit that hang from His tallit. She had a scripture that promised her that the wings of the Messiah’s tallit had healing, and she believed that scripture with everything within her.

She had a scripture to stand upon, she believed the scripture was truth, and then she acted in faith based on her belief and the scripture. She decided within herself that if she grabbed hold of the tzit-tzit of the Messiah’s tallit that she would be healed.

James 2: 17

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

This is where a lot of people miss it. They have a scripture and believe it is true, but they don’t have a demonstrative action to go with their faith. If the action is not obvious (or even if it is), pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the action to go with your faith.

The woman with the issue of blood gave feet to her faith. She had to move. She had to go. She had to reach. She had to touch. It wasn’t enough to just KNOW that the wings of the Messiah’s tallit had healing. She had to grab hold of that promise by grabbing hold of the wings.

The wings of the tallit or tzitzit are tassels of white cords with one blue cord. The blue cord represents God Almighty who sits upon a blue throne according to Ezekiel 1:26 or more precisely… the blue cord represents the throne itself.

The woman with an issue of blood standing on a promise in the Scriptures acted in faith to grab hold of the throne of God Almighty through the power and authority in the Messiah, and in doing so, she received her healing.

We too can stand on a promise in the Scriptures. We can act in faith to grab hold of the throne of God Almighty through the power and authority in the Name of Jesus, and we, too, can receive healing… or deliverance, salvation, grace, mercy, forgiveness, comfort, peace, rest, answers, direction…

God is a faithful God! We can trust Him in all things.
