My husband and I decided to enjoy a quiet evening on our back patio. The birds were singing. The sun was setting. A gentle breeze was blowing. It was almost a perfect evening.
EXCEPT THE MOSQUITOES. One mosquito after another either attempted or succeeded in biting our legs. Those horrid little creatures threatened to drive us back in the house… until… I remembered THIS ARTICLE.
Since I happen to have basil growing in a pot on my patio. I pulled the pot of basil between my husband and I. Amazingly,the mosquitoes seemed to leave us alone after that. A couple basil plants on my patio has just become my newest summer must-have. I think this summer has just gotten a lot more tolerable.
