Slow Cooker Ham #Recipe with an Orange Dijon Glaze

This Slow Cooker Ham Recipe with an Orange Dijon Glaze is easy enough for a busy weeknight’s dinner, but delicious enough for a holiday. In fact, this recipe is easy enough to be considered a dump recipe. A dump recipe is a recipe where all the ingredients are “dumped” into the slow cooker and forgotten until dinner.

Slow Cooker Ham with an Orange Dijon Glaze

I bought this beautiful ham at Costco. This ham is 2.59 lb of Applewood Smoked ham that is boneless and fully cooked. Any smoked ham will do for this recipe, but it must be fully cooked and boneless. Beginning with a quality ham will go a long way to ensuring that you finish with a quality ham. Can I get an “amen” from the choir? LOL

A slow cooker liner of some sort is recommended for easier cleanup. This glaze can get messy, but well worth it. If you choose not to use a slow cooker liner, I would recommend spraying the slow cooker with cooking spray to help minimize the sticking a little bit. I chose not to use the slow cooker liner this time and soaking overnight with a grease cutting dish liquid worked just fine.

I chose to mix the glaze in a large measuring cup because I find it easier to spoon and pour it from a measuring cup. A small mixing bowl or even a zipper baggie will work fine. Orange marmalade, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar are mixed together for the glaze. Really, just three ingredients.

The ham gets tossed into the slow cooker. The glaze is spooned and/or poured over the ham. Be sure to place the lid on the slow cooker correctly for satisfactory cooking. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. Then just slice and enjoy!
