Birthday Swag: Getting Free Stuff On Your Birthday

birthday swag: how to get free stuff around your birthday

Yesterday was my birthday, and I received lots of swag!

My sister took me to Chili’s.  While we were there, I remembered that Chili’s had sent me an email before my birthday for something free.  I searched my phone and pulled up the email.  Sure enough, I got a free dessert with my meal.  That’s not the only free email I received.

Caution!

I have had issues this year and in the past with some freebies and coupons becoming nullified if the email is opened more than twice.  I think companies who do this should put the reward, freebie, or discount in the subject line so we don’t have to open it to remember what the deal is.  When I go to a business to get a freebie, it is a promotion that is supposed to make me feel good about the company and the product.  When I leave disappointed and angry, I am definitely NOT feeling good about the company nor the product.
