Orange Fluff Cottage Cheese Salad #Recipe

Have you tried this Orange Fluff Cottage Cheese Salad Recipe?  This light citrus-flavored dessert is just lovely for brunches, parties, picnics (on ice), barbecues, pool parties, or even just as an afternoon snack.  Orange Fluff is fabulous for those of us who want the health benefits of cottage cheese without ACTUALLY eating cottage cheese. (Am I the only person who is not a cottage cheese fan?)  As a BONUS:  light, diet, or fat free versions of each ingredient can make this recipe even lighter or healthier.

Dessert Spoons

Large Spoon

Silicone Spatula

Picnic Cooler

Can Opener (if the mandarin oranges don’t have a pop top)

This dessert comes together very easily.  Simply dump all the ingredients into a large bowl and stir.  LOL!  That pretty much is all there is to it, but I’ll break it down a little more.

Start by pouring the cottage cheese into a large bowl.  Drain the mandarin oranges.  Pull out a small handful of oranges for garnishing.  Pour the rest of the drained mandarin oranges into the bowl with the cottage cheese.  Add a box of orange flavored Jello powder to the bowl.  Stir the oranges, Jello powder, and cottage cheese together.  Add the container of whipped topping (like Cool Whip) to the bowl and stir until all the ingredients are well mixed.  Garnish with the mandarin oranges you pulled out earlier.  Chill until you are ready to serve.
