5000 Blankets Movie Review

Many thanks to Sony Pictures for providing a sample of the product for this 5000 Blankets movie review. Opinions are 100% my own.

It is definitely no exaggeration to say that 5000 Blankets moved me to tears. This movie would be a perfect inspirational movie for the holiday season even if it were fictional, but the fact that it is based on a true story, makes it even more perfect. Prepare to be convicted into considering whether or not there is more you can do to help your community. Prepare to be inspired into doing more, giving more, loving more, and sacrificing more. Prepare to be moved not just emotionally, but moved into action.

Movie synopsis: Inspired by a remarkable true story, 5000 BLANKETS is filled with hope and highlights the power of family and faith. When her husband has a mental break-down and goes missing, a woman and her young son set out to find him on the streets, sparking a movement of compassion towards those in need and inspiring a city.

I encourage you to watch the trailer for yourself.

  1. Toys for tots is my favorite because several stores participate and it makes me happy knowing several children will receive at least one gift

  2. My favorite random act of kindness is paying it forward. I love to pay for the person who is in line behind me at the drive thru.

  3. My favorite is paying for the person behind you in the drive thru. It has become harder to do this with people using their app and pre-paying though.
